Inaugural Festival

Gaura Purnima festival is inaugurated with the raising of Garuda and Hanuman flags. This colorful flag hoisting ceremony, is held at Srila Prabhupada Park, in front of Lotus building. Last year personalities like HH Gopal Krishna Goswami , HH Loknath Goswami, HH Jayapataka Swami ,spoke on the importance of Gaura Purnima festival and how it is so dear to Srila Prabhupada.

Devotees from all parts of the world arrive at Mayapur, to recharge their spiritual spirits in the dust of the Navadvipa dhama, by doing Parikrama, singing , chanting and feasting for the next 15 days. In the  evening, there is Adhivas ceremony for Kirtan Mela, which commemorates the next day.
